Yuh, I buleeeve MissyL left the hobby. But yeah, we need someplace were we can like call ahead an have a set space.. not just randomly form a noisy mob an take over a group of tables... Resturaunts are ok for get togethers, but not full fledged meets.

I've got part of a map together with everyons addy's on the database section.... I'll post it up in just a few.

Considering most everyone is in within relatively easy driving distance to Gadsden, I can talk to the manager at Books-A-Million in the mall. At it is, I was checking with him by phone on meeting up with someone there already.

I plan on heading down there sometime during the week after Christmas, so I can ask about a larger group and us utilizing the tables at Joe Muggs, and double-check that photography isn't an issue. Normally BAM stores are very open to groups meeting there, and I know they never had any problem with it when I was proposing a knitter's group (that flopped because no one else would actually show up), so there shouldn't be any problem with a BJD meet either. Plus there's the nature reserve at the back of the parking lot for photos when the weather is good.

Provided that it's on a weekend after Christmas, I'd be up for attending a meetup up there. I don't mind driving there. I like the drive. ^^

If you guys don't mind, sometime in April I'd like to have a meetup at BB&C again, since I just saw the guy a couple of days ago and he asked me where we disappeared to. XD Otherwise, I don't mind driving to come over there sometimes!

Also, HOLYCRAP, where are my manners?!! WELCOME! I'm so sorry! I'm slacking on my duties! XD

I know that if nothing comes up between now and then, I'll be at BAM on January 2nd (a Saturday) in the afternoon. I'm planning on going one day during the week as well if possible, but I don't know my husband's work schedule yet to know when we'll have time after he gets off work.

BB&C = Books Beans & Candles, right? It's been quite a while since I've had the chance to go in there. I went with Patti and Don from the Cool Store the last time. It was a lot of fun. :D It'd be great to have an excuse to go back down there again. Maybe I can coax Patti to come along too (which means I won't have to drive if she does).

Also, my DOI Luke is in the post as of today! :D Now I get to stalk the Canadian postal service for the next couple of days until the box gets here in the US, and then stalk the US postal service until he gets down here. If things go smoothly through customs, he should be here before Christmas. ^^

And thank you all for the warm welcome! <3 I'm looking forward to meeting you in person.

Me and Captain are so isolated compared to the rest of y'all, lolz.

I like the idea of meeting up at the Gadsden BAM every now and then. It's a very easy drive and one I know all too well, hehe. Though Jan. 2 would be a no go for me. Jared's getting Trans Siberian Orchestra tickets for Christmas and that's the day of the concert. But for the April BB&C I'll be sure to stick it on my calendar and plan nothing else! :D

Hi and welcome! Congrats on your boy too! :D

Meeting at the Gadsden BAM actually sounds great. I know the manager personally and he's pretty cool, so it should be no problem. I think the only main thing is we'd have be sure not to "disturb" the other customers. Pictures shouldn't be a problem either, lots of people including employees take pics inside the store.
